WORLD DAY OF PRAYER service on Friday in St Fillan’s was a beautiful occasion both
spiritually and socially as a village community. The collection for the women of Palestine
raised £341.05. A big thank you to all who took part and especially to the small team of
volunteers who led readings and also those who gave up their time to ensure warm
hospitality was offered to everyone afterwards on what was a rather chilly first afternoon of
official springtime. It was a special joy to welcome the Reverend Barbara Ann Sweeton,
interim Minister of Houston-Kilellan Church, to St Fillan’s for the very first time.
NEXT WEEKEND: special collection – the annual SCIAF appeal.
St Fillan’s Rebuild and Restoration – important meeting on Tuesday at 7pm. Be there. Be to ready to
volunteer. Thanks to those who have already done so. May our Lenten journey together, now entering
its third week, through prayer, fasting, self-giving and penance - bear much fruit. AMcF
