again immediately after Vigil Mass on request.

& Sr Kathleen Owens: their carers, those in hospital and our residential homes, including the
staff and for all suffering in mind and body today: Lord, bless them with your grace and

grant them eternal rest, O Lord.
CONGRATULATIONS to the two happy couples married this week in St Fillan’s: Claire
Wagstaff (McColl) & Richard Meadows on Friday, and Heather Mitchell Fellowes & Ciaran
Mackie on Saturday. Despite the deluge on both days, both were happy and beautiful
occasions for our St Fillan’s parish family. We keep them in our prayers for continued health
and many blessings in the years ahead.
ALTAR FLOWERS: more volunteers/help required - consider volunteering around one hour
a month to support Sr Mary Frances in continuing to ensure the high standard of altar floral
arrangements. Thanks to those who do so already.
REBUILD-FUND: congratulations and much thanks to Brendan Farren (Brookfield) who
successfully completed, in 1 hr 46mins the Half Marathon in the Great Scottish Run, last
Sunday. Through your most generous sponsorship, Brendan has already raised £2,251 via
Just Giving, for those urgent building works soon to be carried out on our much-loved and
historic little church. Well done Brendan and renewed thanks to all who are donating to the
Rebuild-fund at this time.
GAELIC MASS in St Mirin's Cathedral, Paisley, next Sunday 15 th  October at 5pm will
celebrated by Mgr James Provost MacNeil, Administrator of St Columba’s Cathedral, Oban.
This Gaelic Mass is taking place as part of the Royal National Gaelic Mòd, which is being
held in Paisley this year. Fàilte romhaibh uile - all welcome!
PRO LIFE: annual Torchlight Procession from George Square to St Andrew’s Cathedral,
Glasgow will take place on Thursday 26 th October beginning at 6.30pm. All welcome.
Remember, October is the Month of the Our Lady’s Rosary. Pope Francis has been encouraging us
